Evacuation Chair Training


Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the employer has to ensure that all emergency routes and exits must lead as directly as possible to a place of safety. This place of safety is a safe area beyond the premises.


There are a number of ways that disabled persons can be assisted down stairs to a place of safety. You may want to consider an evacuation chair.   



Level 1 & 2 Award in Health and Safety in the workplace


Health and Safety Awareness is an essential feature of the Training and Development of all an employer's staff. As an employer you have a responsibility for the welfare and safety of your employees. Your employees too have a responsibility both for themselves and for their colleagues, under Health and Safety Legislation. This training course is designed to address all of these issues.

 

Principles of Manual Handling (2 hrs)

Level 2 Award in Manual Handling (4 hrs)


Under the manual handling operations regulations, you must provide suitable training. Many companies are under the impression that this does not apply to them because they are primarily an office environment. This is a misconception that can have serious consequences. Most back and spinal pain is caused by continual bad lifting, twisting and stretching and not single trauma injuries.


Risk Assessment


Risk assessment is done to enable control measures to be devised.  We need to have an idea of the relative importance of risks and to know as much about them as we can in order to take decisions on controls which are both appropriate and cost effective.


Level 2 Award in  Principles of COSHH


This qualification complements the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace by introducing candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available. It is designed for those responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, as well as employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices.

This qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.


Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment


This new qualification is designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety by enabling learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment. Anyone in a work environment as it raises learners’ awareness of the concept of risk assessment. This Level 2 Award Principles in Risk Assessment was created in response to industry requirements for all employees to be risk aware. Although not all employees will be expected to undertake risk assessments themselves, they may be asked to contribute to the process and will be expected to act always to protect their own health and safety and that of others.



Safeguarding for Children and Vunerable Adult


This course is essential for all those who work or volunteer directly with children, young people or their families. This course covers everything workers need to know about what might concern them, how to respond to concerns appropriately and consider safer working practice.


Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles


The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles allows candidates to develop their basic fire safety awareness. It is particularly useful for employees who are to have a designated responsibility for workplace fire safety, for example as fire wardens or fire marshals, and provides the knowledge that will allow them to carry out duties relating to fire safety and emergency procedures.


Level 2 Award in Food Safety
